Prayer Concerns – September 2022

This document is a church prayer bulletin shared on Wednesday evening, September 21, 2022. The first section focuses on internal church matters, including revisions to the church constitution and bylaws, a proposed name change, and preparations for year-end events such as the Appreciation Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas celebrations. The congregation is called to pray for the leaders responsible for organizing these events.

The second section records thanksgiving to God for four individuals who have recently received Christ and are now attending a Basic Doctrine class in preparation for baptism. The church also prays for the renewal of its website and social media platforms to share the Gospel online, and asks the Holy Spirit to revive the spiritual lives of believers for faithful worship and Bible study. Specific individuals who have not yet believed are named for intercessory prayer.

The third section directs prayer toward social and national concerns in the United States, including the upcoming November congressional elections, political division, rising crime in major cities, economic inflation, border security, the fentanyl drug crisis, and children's education. This represents a call for the church to engage in intercession for society and the nation.

The fourth section focuses on missionary work, including evangelism among ethnic minority communities in Vietnam through the ministry of Pastor Tô Đình Mỹ, the distribution of the Nguồn Sáng publication, and the development of the Homeland Church network across Vietnam. The congregation is also invited to pray for the organization Faith Comes By Hearing, which aims to bring audio Scripture to all 7,100 languages of the world by 2033.
