The Most Important Question

How to Know God

The Bible teaches that every person can have a living, personal relationship with God — not through religion or moral effort, but through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
John 14:6
01

God loves you and created you for a relationship with Him.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

John 3:16

God is not distant or indifferent. He is the loving Creator who made you in His image and longs for you to know Him personally — not just know about Him.

02

We are all separated from God because of sin.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23

Sin is more than wrong actions — it is a posture of independence from God. Every person has chosen their own way over God's, and this separation results in spiritual death and eternal separation from Him.

03

God provided the only way through Jesus Christ.

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8

God did not leave us without hope. Jesus Christ — fully God and fully man — lived the perfect life we could not live, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, and rose from the dead on the third day, conquering sin and death.

04

You must receive Christ by faith.

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Romans 10:9

Salvation is a gift — it cannot be earned by good works, religious rituals, or moral effort. It is received through repentance (turning from sin) and faith (trusting in Christ alone as your Savior and Lord).

Responding to God

A Prayer of Faith

There is no magic formula — God looks at the posture of your heart. If you are ready to turn from sin and trust in Jesus Christ, you can pray something like this:

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I fall short of your glory. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and rose again. Right now, I turn from my sin and place my faith in you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Help me to follow you from this day forward. Amen."

If you prayed this and meant it, the Bible says you are now a child of God (John 1:12). Your next step is to be baptized, connect with a local church, read the Bible, and grow in your faith alongside other believers.

What We Believe About Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is not earned by good works, church attendance, or religious duty — it is a free gift from a merciful God to those who repent and believe.
