The sermon details events from Mark 14 about Jesus' prophecy of Judas' betrayal and the disciples' stumbling. Although Peter confidently declared he would never deny Jesus, he did so three times. All the disciples abandoned Him and fled. However, the pastor emphasizes that even in these circumstances, God demonstrated grace through Jesus, as shown in the story of the woman who anointed Jesus' feet with precious oil—an act expressing fervent love for the Savior despite her sinful condition.
The fourth section connects historical events to contemporary personal application. The pastor suggests that like the disciples, modern congregations frequently betray Jesus through lifestyle, wrong decisions, and lack of trust. Yet the message of hope is clear: God never abandons those who believe in Christ, regardless of their sins. His grace of forgiveness is sufficient and eternal, extended to all who return to Him with genuine repentance. The sermon concludes that true hope lies not in human worthiness but at the cross of Christ, where love and forgiveness are proclaimed clearly to all nations.
