# The Power of God's Word Hai Duong - Nam Sach – Hop Tien

In northern Vietnam, within Hai Duong Province, Nam Sach is a district with a long history of development, where people settled and established their livelihoods quite early. According to the most recent archaeological findings, this land has been inhabited since the very beginning of the Common Era. The name Nam Sach dates back very far and has many legends associated with it. One legend suggests that throughout history, the Nam Sach region produced many scholars and highly accomplished individuals (top graduates, doctorate holders, and the like), so the ancients believed "Nam Sach" meant "The Book of the Southern Sky." During the Ly Dynasty, there was even a person named Nam Sach Giang. Nam Sach is the birthplace of two major Vietnamese family lineages: the Pham family (Tra Huong) and the Mac family (Long Dong).

Within Nam Sach District lies Hop Tien Commune, covering an area of approximately 6.43 square kilometers, divided into four hamlets: Dau Ben, Cao Doi, La Doi, and Te. Hop Tien Commune is located in the northern part of Nam Sach District, with geographical borders: to the east bordering Thanh Quang Commune; to the west bordering Hiep Cat Commune; to the south bordering Quoc Tuan Commune; to the north bordering Nam Hung Commune. This is a small commune, but small to God it is not! He created this world, and His eyes constantly watch over, seeing clearly and caring for every place. Therefore, the Gospel has come here—to Hai Duong—Nam Sach—Hop Tien. Thanks be to God!

Here, a Missionary Organization (VMB) has helped establish a prayer group and a church, which this year is celebrating eleven years—the Nam Sach Baptist Church of Love. Furthermore, a VBTS Tertiary Education Center in Hai Duong Nam Sach has been established. Each month, for one subject, students gather at this church and study via Zoom, along with more than 60 other centers throughout Vietnam. God continually does wondrous deeds, great and more difficult than we can imagine. "His name will endure forever; His fame will continue as long as the sun! May all nations be blessed through Him and call Him blessed. Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen" (Psalm 72:19).

An even greater miracle occurred when visiting this center. Mai, the Center Director, shared how God worked in the lives of two elderly women—Nhieu, 81 years old, and Chac, 80 years old. They were unbelievers in their community. Initially, Mai invited Nhieu to come to the church to study the Bible. Nhieu agreed to attend the Tertiary Education classes, sitting and listening. But after a time of reading Scripture, hearing the teachings, God opened Nhieu's heart and she believed in God. Subsequently, Nhieu shared with her friend Chac and invited her to attend the Bible study classes. And just as with Nhieu, after a time, Chac also came to believe in God! Truly miraculous indeed—"the power of God's Word" changed their hearts and opened the eyes of these women in Hai Duong—Nam Sach, enabling them to see the Savior, Jesus Christ, as the only One in whom they need to place their faith and trust completely! Indeed, "The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (Psalm 119:130). "Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!" (Luke 1:45).

Have you ever experienced the miracle of God's Word? If you long to experience the power of His Word, read the Bible and meditate on it day and night to understand His powerful Word fully. Seek out pastors and teachers—those deeply versed in God's Word—to help you, and you will be able to understand Scripture thoroughly and comprehensively. At the same time, you may enroll in a formal program of a theological seminary, which will help you discipline yourself; assignments and writings will help you explore and learn more, and discover the "Priceless Treasure." Pray and ask God to open your mind and grant you wisdom to understand His Word. "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen" (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Thanks be to God always! He has blessed Mai with a heart devoted to God, fully dedicated to His work, sharing the power of God's Word with the community, especially with the women in her village! God has also blessed Mai to share God's Word during the monthly Women's Prayer Fellowship meetings throughout Hai Duong Province. Truly God is almighty and wonderful, always giving strength to those whose hearts are devoted to serving Him! "My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music" (Psalm 108:1). "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those He redeemed from the hand of the foe" (Psalm 107:21). Amen! Thanks be to God forever!
